Morning Breaks

This was the view of the sunrise to the west one morning before school. I snapped a picture. This is the view out my skylight/window. The moon was holding on to what light it still had before the sun came out completely and stole the world's attention.
Life in the city.

Midnight Dreamings

Introducing "Photo of the week."
This weeks photo will set the standard for all "photo of the week"s.
Rules:
There will be no quote to start it off.
The title of the post will be the title I decide to name the photo.
There may or may not be an explanation with the photo.
They will all be my works, unless stated otherwise.
This photo was taken during my rafting trip down the Grand Canyon. Its not the best picture of the moon ever taken, but the best I've ever taken. Although the motives of taking this picture no longer exist, the effects (the photo) still stands and can have any meaning in the world.
Enjoy.

New Year, New Thoughts

"I'm a fool out of love 'cause I just cant get enough."
-Lenka
I'd like to start off this post by letting the world know that I did not fail a single class. C- baby!!! For 24 hours I had a 1.7 GPA to start off my college career. I'm happy to say it went up with the B+, and 2 A-'s though. My first semester is over and done and I'm the only one that didnt learn some valuable lesson that I will take with me for the rest of my life. Well, I did learn that lesson, but not from being in college.
College, I love you. Lets be friends.
So... New Years is all about New Years Resolutions, ya? Mine... Hmm... I'm thinking of some. I realize I'm a bit late, but better late than never, right? I'd rather start mine with the new semester, anyway. That way, each semester I can start 100% new and give my all with each Starting Over. Besides, I didnt do anything with my last week off of school. Had I started resolutions on the 1st, I would have already failed.
Resolutions: (The ones I thought of in the past few minutes, anyway.)
1. Dont spend so much money.
2. Dont spend so much money on food.
3. Dont spend so much money on shoes.
4. Take more pictures.
5. Get out my camera and take some pictures already.
6. Dont worry so much about what will be, but what is.
7. Take time to relax and stop thinking.
8. Try not to make things so complicated.
9. Start 'Photo of the week' on my blog. (This being encouragement to take pictures. Cant post a bad picture. Meaning I will have to take many to have enough to choose from.)
.... Yeah thats all. I dont want to get too in depth with them, I will forget them and inevitably fail. I'm not a fan of failure. Or quitting. Everyone else has a resolution to go to the gym and get fit. They will quit and fail. I have a goal to start running, but that goal is starting when classes start again. Ha! I beat the system.
I bought all my school books today. $500 later..... I have 20 lbs to carry around with me.... Whoever said I'll be a freshman 15 did not take my books into account. By the way, I have yet to gain weight in my freshman year. Win.
If you havent noticed yet and are still reading, wondering if there will be a point to this post, I am sorry to disappoint. There is no point to this post, no deep insights, no reconciliation with myself. Just some random thoughts slapped down on a page because I felt like it.
Speaking of reconciliation, my crazy family is back together again and in June, my sweet nephew Victor will enter my life. Yeah be jealous. You wish your family was as crazy and awesome as mine. I used to think it was the worst thing in my life. Not anymore. I see the blessings that they bring to me and see that theres no other way to create what I have.
SSSScccccchhhhooooollllllll! Come faster! With the start of school, my schedule and regularity will come back to me. Thank goodness. I cant wait to see what this semester will bring me.
Up, up and away; off to new adventures and self-defining moments!
Cheers Darlin'!
